Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London Review: Located on a lovely leafy square just behind the noise and traffic on Oxford Street, this hotel is a perfect stop for guests looking to enjoy the energy of central London without the noise and bustle. Guests can be guaranteed that of the 272 rooms, they will find a theme to tickle their fancy --- Art Deco, Scandinavian, British, Italian or Asian. Standard rooms are bright with comfy beds, though there is little space to walk around. Business class accommodations have more room and offer extra comforts such as robes, slippers and complimentary breakfast buffet. The deluxe double guest rooms have sofa beds, which make them a favorite with families. There is also the convenience of a grab-and-run early morning breakfast of coffee and croissants laid out in the lobby. The Talavera Portman Corner Restaurant features a traditional English roast each day, as well as a full à la carte menu, while afternoon tea is served beside an open fire in the lobby. Another option is to head for Baker Street and nose around the brilliant choice of restaurants and cafés, or St Christopher's Place where you will find cuisine from just about every corner of the globe.
