Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel Review

: Modern, spacious and furnished so exquisitely that at times it feels like a museum, the Vanderbilt is one of the finest four key hotels in the South Kensington area. As its name suggests, this gorgeous South Kensington property was once the Vanderbilt family's London residence. Many of the home's original features have been carefully restored and highlighted. Fireplaces, stained-glass windows, wood paneled rooms, gloriously ornate furnishings and a magnificent artistic lobby ceiling provide the hotel with a unique, luxurious and homey feel. All 215 rooms have warm classic English ambiance and feature mahogany furniture, rich fabrics and crisp cotton bed linens, while bathrooms are clad in fine marble and Jacob Delafon bathware. The attached 68-86 Bar and Restaurant is a smart, contemporary choice for dinner, softly lit and beautifully decorated with hardwood floors, unique objects d'art and a cracked-glass bar, with an innovative menu of Western dishes with Pacific Rim influences.
