The Grange City Hotel Review: On the edge of the financial hub, The Grange City Hotel is perfectly placed for corporate guests looking for a peaceful, luxury stay. Literally next door to Tower Hill underground station, the hotel is well-connected to transport links. One side also offers rare panoramic views onto the Tower Bridge, so do make sure to ask for a room with a view, as not all are fortunate enough to face the river. Stepping into one of the hotel’s 307 rooms, guests are greeted by classical FM playing quietly, pale gray-and-cream silk clinging to high, comfy king-size beds and dark wood furnishings. It’s a sleek and classic design, given a hi-tech twist with iDocks, large plasma screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. If you do splurge on the presidential suite, you will arguably be in possession of the most phenomenal view of the city. One of the biggest surprises at this hotel is the huge state-of-the-art gym and spa hidden away in the basement. The fresh and authentic Japanese food at Koto II Japanese restaurant is a favorite for business meetings, while Lutetia Bar and Brasserie rustles up proper English grub for hungry, no-nonsense guests.
