Tune Hotel - Westminster Review: If fancy amenities are not a priority, visitors on a budget will find the no-nonsense set-up here ideal. Tune Hotels was founded by the owner of Air Asia, and the low-cost airline's stripped-down ideology applies to the growing hotel chain. Situated in a bleak building on a high street, the address is slightly misleading as the closest underground station is Lambeth North, rather than Westminster, so guests should take the location into account if the proximity to tourist attractions is a priority. From the 79 rooms, guests can choose one with or without a window, and for small extra fees they will have access to towels, a television, Wi-Fi, a safe and a hair dryer. Rooms are fitted with little more than a double bed, but what a bed! Mattresses are provided by bed-makers normally supplying five-star hotels, and are plumped with 250-thread count, white duvets. Small attached bathrooms contain excellent power showers and toilets, although movement around the space is limited. Each room is cleaned before arrival, and then every third night for an extra fee.
