Eccleston Square Hotel Review: Don’t be fooled by the exterior of this beautiful Georgian townhouse. Its classic façade belies an ultra-modern hotel with cutting-edge technology in every room, including 3D glasses to watch the latest movies. High ceilings, Murano chandeliers and Promemoria furnishings bring a lavishness to the public areas, which include a reception, drawing room, media lounge, bar and restaurant. Upstairs, rooms are sleek, comfortable and completely under your control. Each is equipped with an iPad2 so guests can order room service, browse the library of complimentary 3D DVDs, request an in-room massage or book a table at a nightclub. Hästens electrically adjustable beds come with a massage feature and are fitted with luxury non-allergenic Italian sheets. Scarcely having to move a muscle, guests can control the mood music, lighting and air conditioning. Rooms are equipped with four European sockets, two U.S. 110 V sockets, two USB chargers and an iPod dock. Marble bathrooms are built with glass walls that turn opaque at the touch of a switch and contain heated mirrors with a TV built in, rainfall showers and wall-mounted high pressure massage. The hotel's Bistro does excellent French food and lays on a typical American Sunday brunch.
