Spread over 17 formally landscaped acres, this inn is a nice alternative to the area's impersonal chain hotels. The grounds are peppered with 18 European-style fountains, ivy-lined trellis walkways, streams, floral ponds, gardens and a picturesque rose arbor. The bucolic setting is favored by both business and leisure groups, and those spending their days in the crush of the city enjoy evening strolls through the beautifully lit landscape. Some of the 141 guest rooms and suites feature fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, Jacuzzi tubs, Italian linens and plasma TVs, as well as private patios or terraces with views of the lake, the Westlake Village Golf Course, the gardens or mountains. The extensive meeting spaces---14,000 squre feet of state-of-the-art meeting, reception and board rooms---are used just as much for weddings as they are for conventions. The newly renovated Mediterraneo restaurant is open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday Brunch, while Bogie's lounge offers well-mixed drinks and appetizers accompanied by a variety of live entertainment and dancing. |
