Le Nouvel Hotel & Spa Review

: This highly rated hotel and spa is a favorite with Montreal's business travelers for several reasons. Firstly, the location is superb, close to Montreal’s downtown business district as well as some of the city’s best restaurants, bars and shops on Crescent and St. Catherine Streets. Secondly, the Nouvel has seven meeting rooms and a business center, ideal for impromptu professional rendezvous. Also attractive for the business set is the full service spa offering full-body treatments, essential after a hard day’s work. And, most appealing of all, is the hotel’s overall professional ambiance. Rooms are decorated with classic elegance. Plush pillows provide comfort and hanging light-fixtures and exposed bricks in the suites add a touch of urban class. The 125 guestrooms are admittedly a bit less appealing than the hotel’s 40 suites. Regular guest rooms are spacious, yet the aesthetic lacks creativity. For example, while suites seem contemporary, the blue and yellow drapes and bedding in guestrooms appears slightly outdated. That said, the carved wood headboards and matching end tables in guest rooms largely make up for the lack of creative color choice. In addition to the spa, the hotel also features l’Entracte, a nice restaurant/bar.
