 This 1,200-acre resort, with its pillared, 1870's mansion that is fresh off a three-year, $1.5-million renovation, is one of the the largest resorts in all of California's wine country. Most of the facility's 450 spacious rooms can now be configured into one- and two-bedroom suites, and rooms come standard with WiFi. The resort also boasts 17 tennis courts, ten swimming pools, two Robert Trent Jones' 18-hole golf courses and a host of jogging trails. There's the Spa at Silverado, a full spa that is a destination unto itself. In addition to this abundance of recreational opportunities, the Silverado offers equally remarkable meeting facilities. Thirteen meeting rooms, a conference center for groups of up to 500 and a ballroom that measures more than 5,000 square feet promise to meet just about any corporate need. Two on-site restaurants feature local produce and views of the golf courses. Perhaps most important, the resort is located within minutes of dozens of wineries. |
