Mauro Mansion Hotel Review: Claiming that it's not a hotel or a bed-and-breakfast --- but rather a fusion of both --- Mauro Mansion specializes in hospitality. Just ring the doorbell and find out. This trendy yet quaint nine-room canal house offers romantic, relaxed rooms in the historical old town of Amsterdam, giving each guest a view of the canal or the quiet courtyard. Industrial style, wood floors, bright red accents and classic furniture mix with contemporary pieces to set the boutique tone. In all there are three different types of guest rooms: Mauro's Terra (on the ground floor and a bit noisier), and Mauro's Canal and Mauro's Courtyard (both quieter but only reachable by stairs). All rooms come with a free Dutch breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. and are equipped with free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges with complimentary drinks, coffee and tea making facilities, wake-up lights with integrated iPod and iPhone stations, safes and flat-panel TVs with DVD players upon request. The property does not accept guests under the age of twelve.
