Set in the heart of Phoenix is the world famous Arizona Biltmore, the archetype for all of the southwest resorts that followed. It was built in 1929 in a style inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, whose trademark is carried throughout the property, most notably in the distinctively patterned bricks. Architectural highlights include the Aztec Room and the Cottage Court. The resort’s historic signature restaurant, Wright's boasts sophisticated American Lodge cuisine that reflects the organic, architectural style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Set among the luxuriant grounds, offering views of nearby Camelback Mountain and Squaw Peak, are seven tennis courts, eight pools, two 18-hole golf courses and an 18-hole putting course. A full service spa features exotic treatments that include Desert Heat Therapy Wrap and Dream Catcher Aromatherapy. In 2009, Ocatilla, a 120-room luxury wing featuring a guests-only lounge and concierge services was added to the property. |
