This hotel is standard, but clean, and well-located in the downtown area. It’s not even a five-minute walk to TRAX, a public light rail system linking all of the Salt Lake Valley. On the 13th floor, the hotel’s private club, The Sky Bar, has become popular with locals, who come for dining, cocktails, dancing and the incredible view. The hotel sponsors guests (in lieu of club memberships) upon request. Rooms are spacious, but beware---during prom time, the property is filled with teens celebrating the big night. The ample meeting rooms also host numerous business conventions. The main restaurant, Café Olympus, so named for the craggy peak onto which it looks, opens onto the sunny pool courtyard. The café serves comfort food (dieters beware) such as biscuits and gravy, roast beef platters and homemade pie.
