Graycliff Hotel Review

: Located next door to Nassau's Government House, Graycliff Hotel was built in 1740 by a real life pirate of the Caribbean: Captain John Howard Graysmith. These days, the restored colonial mansion serves as a hotel with just twenty rooms, each individually decorated with antiques. All accommodations have been given a historic name instead of a number and come with free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and a private bath, as well as a mini-bar, safe, telephone, data port, cable TV, hair dryer and luxurious bath amenities. The rooms are divided into four categories: Deluxe, Luxury, Suites and the Graycliff Suite, the latter featuring a view of the main pool, a large sitting and dining area, a private balcony and a spacious bathroom. Guests can enjoy fine wining and dining at Graycliff Restaurant; a menu of Continental cuisine with Bahamian influences is paired with a wine cellar that houses the third largest private collection in the world. For a more casual experience, Humidor Churrascaria offers Brazilian Rodizio, also with a bit of Bahamaian flair. The property has its own cigar company, with a variety of renowned cigars specially made by torcedores (cigar rollers) to complement the cuisine and wine.
