The Omni King Edward Hotel Review: When a hotel has a nickname suited to a favorite great-uncle, you know it must be loved. For more than 100 years, the “King Eddy” has carried on a tradition of gracious hospitality, and today its past lingers on in its charmingly old-fashioned décor. This does not mean that the 301 guest rooms and suites are out of date, though. Among the amenities, guests will find plasma TVs, cable TV, iPod docking stations, high-speed Internet, laptop-size safes and mini-bars. Numerous high-end facilities include a fitness center and the European-inspired Nouvelle Maria Spa, offering massages, facials, body treatments and salon services. More than 22,000 square feet of flexible function space includes three grand ballrooms. For dining, Victoria’s serves the breakfast crowd, while the clubby Consort Bar is ideal for lunch, dinner or evening drinks.
