The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre Hotel Review: Getting down to business takes on new meaning at this swanky Ritz-Carlton property. With a direct walkway to The Gate --- the landmark threshold building leading into the Dubai International Finance Centre --- this hotel is a winner for corporate travelers. Along with all of the expected office-away-from-the-office amenities and services, it offers 341 work-friendly guest rooms and 124 serviced executive residences. The style is inspired by French Art Deco, and rooms come with Frette linens, LCD TVs, wireless and high-speed Internet, safes with outlets for recharging laptops, dedicated work areas and floor-to-ceiling views of the courtyard and financial center. As for said courtyard, it features a ten-story waterfall that cascades down the side of the building. The hotel has eight water features in total, to emphasize the feng shui principle that water signifies wealth and prosperity. For relaxation, there are a health club, indoor swimming pool and Ritz-Carlton Spa. Drinking and dining options are also aplenty: Blue Rain for Thai fine dining; Can Can, a French brasserie; Center Cut steakhouse; the traditional Lobby Lounge and Terrace for afternoon tea; and No. 5 bar, at the end of the walkway to welcome guests after a long day of wheeling and dealing.
