After a huge renovation, this facility is one of the city's top luxury chain hotels. It received a full face-lift, from its impressive lobby to the fitness center to each individual room. The common areas are large and spacious, featuring arched doorways, vaulted ceilings and wide passages with plenty of armchairs and couches for relaxation. The outdoor pool is huge, and the location is great, within walking distance to the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park. This hotel was built in 1930 and offers rooms nearly twice the size of the average accommodation in the city. Business travelers are covered with amenities such as high-speed Internet access and work desks, and fitness nuts like the Get Fit Rooms featuring portable treadmills and healthy snacks. One side of the building overlooks Rock Creek Park; these rooms are a bit smaller, but many feel the views are worth it. The on-site restaurant serves continental cuisine, and features a terrace looking onto the park. Both buses and the Metro are located just blocks away. |
