| Spreading its wings over 18 acres on the banks of the Colorado River, this bustling resort offers the town's largest race and sports book, three tennis courts lit for night play and a 75,000-square-foot third-floor roof-top deck with an enormous heated swimming pool. Top-name entertainers perform in the outdoor amphitheater in the spring and fall, and the Flamingo Ballroom during winter and summer months. This is Laughlin's biggest hotel with two 18-story towers housing 1,816 rooms, 30 deluxe suites and 60 junior suites. Accommodations are enhanced by river or mountain views. Suites also have wet bars, refrigerators and writing desks. The 30,000-square-foot conference area accommodates groups of 30 to 1,300. Among the restaurants are the 24-hour '50s-style Flamingo Diner, Alta Villa for fine dining overlooking the river, and Beef Barron serving in-house-cut steaks and prime rib in a setting reminiscent of the Old West. For quick bites, there are Panda Express and Burger King. Wedding planners arrange ceremonies to be held anywhere from the chapel to a riverboat, The Celebration, which also departs its private dock for brunch and dinner river cruises. |
