| Formerly a Radisson, this airport hotel gets heavy use. Fortunately, it's well-maintained and periodically updated. It's also modestly priced. Nearly 13,000 square-feet of meeting space and a complimentary airport shuttle add to the convenience for business travelers. Guestrooms are standard but pleasantly decorated, with either one king or two double beds. All of the accommodations have data ports and coffee makers, and those on the Executive Level have mini-kitchens with microwaves and refrigerators. In addition, rooms feature complimentary wireless, high-speed Internet access, while meetings rooms offer the same but for a fee. A recently completed $5 million renovation added VIP suites. The U-shaped outdoor pool is surrounded by lounge chairs. Meetings spaces boasting dramatic names such as Bourbon, Bayou and Esplanade can accommodate classes, banquets and receptions. There is a cocktail lounge on the premises. |
