| This colorful Victorian hotel has been in business for over 70 years. In 1998, it underwent a facelift from top to bottom, adding soft modern touches to its already notable charms. The property is located near Union Square and is central to a majority of popular San Francisco sights. The name of this place may suggest intimacy, but there are 252 guest rooms. Among these accommodations are the Lanai Suites, which are popular with honeymooners. A nice touch among the standard amenities is a copy of The Canterbury Tales in each of the rooms. Facilities abound, from a fitness center to meeting rooms for up to 250. Lehr’s Greenhouse is open for breakfast. This venue is an actual greenhouse, complete with Victorian furnishings, chandeliers and a black-and-white tile floor. The Bistro serves dinner nightly. |
