 This fresh hotel is a throwback to the Sixties---in fact, it is a nice tribute to its 1960 opening. The funky front facade brings you into a lobby that is spacious but unfortunately not as stylish as many other public areas on the property. The 400 remodeled guest rooms come with balconies or city views. The furnishings are clean and bright but feel a bit standard. A circular outdoor heated pool is surrounded by lounge chairs on a cheerful red patio. The seeming endless array of facilities and amenities includes a garden courtyard, 24-hour fitness room, gift shop and hair salon. Jack Tar Bar & Grill serves California cuisine in a casual environment. The 25,000 square-feet of meeting and banquet space make the hotel popular with meetings, weddings and banquets. |
