| While Lombard Street is known for one charming and singular crooked block, it in fact stretches without winding through a large section of the city. This particular stretch is pretty generic, as is the beige, 1960s motel itself. Still, parking and wireless Internet access are free, and the rates are low---rare finds in overpriced, traffic-congested San Francisco. Spacious guest rooms with standard furnishings and cheerful pink-toned décor include cable TV, refrigerators, irons and ironing boards. A complimentary continental breakfast is served in the lobby. Kids under 12 stay free with their folks, although there isn't much here to keep children entertained. |
