 Business is booming at this full-service Hilton. The current room count is an impressive 1,908, making it the largest hotel on the West Coast. The size, an entire square block, can be exciting. It provides for enough services and facilities to satisfy the needs of all types of guests---expect to encounter ranks of conventioneers and plan on getting lost now and then. The location is convenient to Union Square shopping and downtown office buildings. In 2003, Executive Level guest rooms, a private lounge and a 13,000-square-foot spa and health club were part of a $50 million makeover. In 2008, a second renovation ushered in a revamped, expanded lobby, and Urban Tavern restaurant. The tower rooms are particularly large, quiet and comfortable. Depending on which room you book, the views are fabulous. Among many treats is a heated swimming pool. It’s one of a few in town, but don’t expect exclusivity, given the numbers that check in here. Where luxurious therapies combine with the essence of the city, the hotel's Spa Fusion is a sanctuary of relaxation and renewal.
