 Built in 1930, the downtown classic was renovated in a wonderful Casablanca Moorish style and reopened in 1990. This hotel is popular with tourists for many reasons. Among them are its central downtown location, fabulous food and rich history. Jazz enthusiasts frequent the hotel’s popular jazz bar, the Hedley Club. Its lovely setting is enhanced with a hand-painted ceiling and a wood-burning fireplace. This 101-room hotel is a national historic landmark. Accommodation choices include three Junior Suites and six Parlor Suites. The restaurant, La Pastaia, is one of the best in the region. The chefs design their menus with a classic Italian sensibility. Another venue to try is the Caffe La Pastaia, which recalls the street cafés in Europe. For meetings and conventions the Palm Court Terrace seats up to 150 and the De Anza Room accommodations up to 62. |
