Exuding a modish mid-’60s vibe, the Hutton Hotel's in-house restaurant is well worth visiting even if you’re not lodging at the property. At breakfast, check out the cinnamon challah french toast, a chorizo breakfast burrito and a quinoa cake with poached egg. The lunch menu features arugula panzanella and sandwiches like a house-made hot pastrami and burgers. For dinner, executive chef Jake Strang pleases all comers with wide-ranging dishes such as a vegan wild mushroom and potato crêpe and a whole yellowtail snapper and classic New York strip. Desserts might include old-fashioned coconut cream pie or a raspberry tiramisu. Vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are available. Choose from more than two dozen wines by the glass as well as quite a few select bottles, craft beers and specialty cocktails. The wine list roams the planet, offering European, Southern Hemisphere and American choices, plus lots of Champagne and sparkling wines and more than a few large format bottles for special occasions. This also is a good happy hour spot (Monday through Friday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.).
