THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED 24 Prince Restaurant Review:

It's more than a little incongruent when five mini lamb sausages, wrapped in pastry (not unlike mini hot dogs), and perfectly placed on a square plate that's been artfully squirted with mustard, lands on your table. American comfort meets haute cuisine. Best of all, it works. Welcome to 24 Prince, where chef Nikki Cascone of “Top Chef” fame interprets the trailer park kitchen through French technique-colored glasses. For starters you can't go wrong with the Downtown Chopped Salad, with romaine, red peppers, chickpeas, tomatoes, beets, cucumbers, radish and goat cheese, and white balsamic and mint vinaigrette; then move on to the surprisingly tender fried chicken (accompanied by creamy garlic mashed potatoes) or the roasted lamb with Israeli couscous and mint pistou. The meatloaf, wrapped in puff pastry and doused with homemade barbecue sauce, is as complex for the taste buds as it is soothing. The dimly lit, narrow room is inviting, marked by a cozy banquette (tulip-shaped lamp shades hang overhead), exposed brick and well-mannered vertical striped wallpaper.
