No 246 Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Partners in an ever-growing restaurant empire, chefs Ford Fry and Drew Belline oversee a variety of establishments, including this one devoted to Italian fare. The cooking is in the able hands of co-chefs de cuisine Justin Gottselig and Dave Stockford. The warmly lit, modern space leads from the bar area to a dining room, and then back to a rear patio. One can make a meal from the antipasto and the pizzas. Half a wood-roasted chicken, hanger steak or fish-centered plates compose the mains. American-style Italian dishes include chicken Marsala and old-fashioned spaghetti and meatballs, both served in portions enough for two (at least). But we like the more creative fare, such as the apple- and celery root-stuffed agnolotti with a brown butter, pecan, ricotta salata and cider vinegar sauce that pleases from first bite to last. The Italian-inspired desserts are worth the calories. Southern and Italian concepts shape the brunch menu. The well-chosen, well-priced wine list shows a decided Italian slant and features a lengthy by-the-glass selection. Or bring your own, as corkage is just $20. The chef's table seats up to 12 for family-style dining. Dogs are allowed on the part of the patio that has high-topped tables.
