THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The 3 Crabs Restaurant Review

: Seafood, seafood, and more seafood is the mode at this classic spot. From fried to grilled to raw, there's plenty to choose from, and all is enjoyed with a view of the Olympic Peninsula's Dungeness Spit, a natural sand shoal that's the largest of its kind in the United States. The restaurant's waterfront location may make guests feel as if they've reached the end of the known world. Dungeness crab is king here, and it's served in an open-faced sandwich, crab cocktail, crab cakes, crab Louie, or simply served whole. For the indecisive crab lover, order the “Taste of Dungeness." Its bounty of beer-steamed crab, cod, clams, prawns, scallops and oysters should satisfy every seafood fan. Salads and steak are also available, while desserts include various fruit and cream pies.

3 Crabs Restaurant

We were staying in Port Ludlow and made a day trip out of going to the 3 Crabs Restaurant in Sequim. We were really looking forward to having crab. We got there at about 4pm for an early dinner. I ordered the whole crab, but then was told that they were OUT of crab. Very disappointing. The waitress did not suggest that we try the Seafood Platter which included crab, mussels, clams and corn, etc. Saw a couple of other tables order this after we got our food. So I ordered the halibut and asked that it be grilled. I got the thinnest piece of halibut I have every seen and it was dripping in oil, and the oil tasted very old and stale. The water tasted like sulphur. Very expensive for a very bad meal. This used to be a good restaurant for seafood. Not anymore.
