309 Dhaba Indian Excellence Restaurant Review: Diners have a choice of enjoying a range of Indian flavors by dining on à la carte, prix-fixe and multi-course tasting menus. Traditional clay ovens bake fresh roti and naan, while the house special of tiger shrimp marinated in chilli, garlic and saffron grill alongside other tandoori-style dishes. Seafood lovers may enjoy soft-shell crab, seasoned with fenugreek and served with mint chutney, or halibut in a Bengal-style curry sauce, while vegetarians have more than a dozen dishes from which to choose, like chana and dal masala. Desserts include homemade pistachio or mango kulfi, and gulab jamun (fried balls of cheese dipped in honey syrup). The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet entices the office crowd, and weekend brunch provides Indian crêpes, omelets and fresh-baked breads. A substantial list of local and imported beers, wines, classic cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages is available, but the mango and dirty martinis are house specialties.
