320 Main Restaurant Review

: Earthy, cozy confines and a sleek bar where patrons can gather while the game plays out on the flat-screen TV give 320 Main a neighborhood hangout vibe. Yet the food and drinks go beyond the traditional. The cocktail program boasts handcrafted libations that taste as good as they look, ranging from a classic Moscow Mule to the sweet vermouth and grapefruit concoction known as The Iggy. Executive chef Jaime Carrano, who has worked in the kitchens of Bouchon in Beverly Hills and Aureole in New York, created a tight, contemporary menu that showcases his creative mettle in a way that feels completely accessible and not forced. Starters showcase this flair by way of charred baby octopus with tomato stew and chimichurri, prosciutto-wrapped fries, chorizo mac ‘n’ cheese, and bone marrow Wellington with mushroom stuffing and gremolata. Carrano's creativity shines through the entrées as well, with seared diver scallops with squid ink risotto, Duroc pork chop with cauliflower couscous, and braised short rib with creamy polenta and crispy parsnip. Finish with a dessert like the brown sugar cake. Weekend brunch offerings do a great job of connecting the first and second meals of the day --- think fried chicken Benedict with Texas toast and duck gravy and poached egg.
