French meets Northwest in a happy union at this casual neighborhood bistro. The spacious dining room with high ceilings, decked with strings of twinkling fairy lights, is framed by tall windows looking out to a shady street. Owners Mason and Michelle Citarello have created a menu with culinary flair. Among recommended starters are the pork rillette served with a tangy-sweet red onion jam. Favorites include the classic French onion soup, rich with beefy flavor, and every Paris bistro's must-have: steak frites. Roasted chicken, herb crusted trout, and Painted Hills New York strip steak are other choice entrées. Michelle's bread pudding is a delightful comfort food finish. The reasonably priced wine list is small but well chosen.
