40 Westt Steakhouse Restaurant Review: Located on the Transcanadienne Autoroute, just minutes from the airport, 40 Westt Steakhouse is not an unfamiliar name to locals. Corn-fed and then dry-aged in optimum temperatures, the array of cuts on offer is from the restaurant’s very own brand of Ontario beef: the Belvedere Brand label. The table d'hôte menu is a worthy option for anyone unsure of where to begin; among its possibilities are a 20-ounce cowboy-cut steak and Asian beef spring rolls. The à la carte menu is distinctive, especially for its combination plates such as filet mignon served with tiger shrimps and Icelandic scampis, or the filet mignon brûlé with goat cheese or Brie. For dessert, consider the chocolate soufflé. The wine list includes selections from Australia, California, Italy, France, Greece and Portugal, chosen to complement the menu.
