40 Westt Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Located on the Transcanadienne Autoroute, just minutes from the airport, 40 Westt Steakhouse is not an unfamiliar name to locals. Corn-fed and then dry-aged in optimum temperatures, the restaurant’s very own brand of Ontario beef, the Belvedere Brand label, is available in an array of cuts. The lunch or dinner table d'hôte menu is a worthy option for anyone unsure of where to begin; among the evening possibilities are a 20-ounce cowboy-cut steak and Asian beef spring rolls. The à la carte menu is distinctive, especially for its combination plates such as filet mignon served with tiger shrimps and Icelandic scampis. Don't miss the raw bar with its Alaskan crab legs, lobster and snow crab. For dessert, consider the chocolate soufflé. The wine list includes selections from Australia, California, Italy, France, Greece and Portugal, chosen to complement the menu. The restaurant’s romantic and dramatic interiors are replete with dangling chandeliers, wall hangings and meat displays.
