THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES The 43rd at the Wedge International Tower Restaurant Review:
Striking angles and curves highlight a tiny labyrinth of earth-toned dining rooms with mirrored ceilings. The pièce de résistance, however, is perhaps The 43rd's bird's-eye view of Houston. The lunch-only menu ranges from soups and salads to sandwiches and entrées. The classic Caesar salad is a good bet, as is the Philly steak sandwich, stuffed with beef tenderloin, green bell peppers, onions and provolone and served with oven fries. Hungrier patrons might opt for a grilled rib-eye with broccoli and rosemary potatoes or the dependable chicken piccata. Though the restaurant serves the midday meal only, the bar is open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for happy hour, complemented by the sunset views.
