5 Napkin Burger Restaurant Review: The five napkins in question might be a bit of an exaggeration, but the meaty goodness on offer here can get a bit messy. The “5 Napkin” namesake, for example, involves ten generous ounces of hearty chuck, Comté cheese and caramelized onions. Not in the mood for beef? Try the turkey, ahi, lamb kofta or veggie varieties. Start with the shrimp and vegetable Vietnamese summer roll appetizer, or the artichoke-mozzarella dip with croutons and endive scoops. The menu also features entrées of fish, pasta, chicken and beef, as well as sushi. There are also milk shakes and New York cheesecake. The upscale industrial diner motif comes complete with black leather booths that gleam under bare light bulbs entwined around suspended meat hooks. The bistro look is emphasized with old-fashioned subway tiles, blackboards and a long dark-wood bar where friendly bartenders purvey cocktails like the French Quarter (Jim Beam and Cointreau). Service is friendly.
