| Try to snare a table in the indoor ivy-covered arbor at 71 Saint Peter, which has an intimate and sophisticated ambience. The restaurant has a loft look, with exposed brick walls, softened by fresh flowers on the tables. The short menu features appetizers like phyllo-baked Brie, porcini mushroom ravioli, and steamed clams and mussels. There are only a few pastas, but they’re worth trying, especially the seafood linguine puttanesca. Zesty entrées include mustard-grilled lamb chops, pistachio-crusted tilapia, and our favorite---lemon-and-rosemary-roasted game hen. The warm sour cream-fudge cake with vanilla bean gelato and caramel sauce is gooey and decadent. |
