: Dim sum served off the ubiquitous carts is worth the wait at this Hong Kong-style banquet hall. Seafood items shine, particularly shrimp har gow with leeks, bacon-wrapped scallops with broccoli, and sea cucumber with tofu. More unusual dim sum includes ground beef balls with cilantro, shrimp-stuffed mushrooms, and sweet rice balls with sausage. At dinner, formal wedding and celebration banquets are the order of the day, with a procession of dishes like Peking duck, roast pig served with buns, ginger and green onion fried Dungeness crab, and fried flour cake with egg. Set menus for groups range from reasonably priced multi-course dinners to lavish banquets with ceremonial dishes. Chiu chow dishes, influenced by Vietnamese cuisine, are also available. Weekdays are less crowded, but the freshest and most rapid turnover of dim sum is found on crowded weekends. For dessert, mango custard and pineapple buns are available.
