Flashy and tech-savvy, this Penn Quarter restaurant is so hip that the menus light up, an advantage when nighttime’s low lights kick in. With its logo of “sexy and sophisticated,” it’s no wonder that this dining destination has grabbed the attention of DC’s swinging set. Where to begin? Check out the starters, beginning with the roast duck hoisin roll, and still in the Asian frame of mind, you might want an order of the Thai rice paper rolls with coconut curry noodles. At lunch, burger lovers will cheer the Wagyu beef and bacon burger with spicy aïoli. More health-conscious is the seared tuna salad with a mango salsa. Dinnertime entrées include venison, spice-rubbed pork ribs, and a bison burger with curry onion straws. Among desserts, we suggest the caramel and chocolate cake with dulce de leche, but for a composite treat, try the 901 sampler, with bits of each sweet on a plate.
