THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Absolute BBQ Restaurant Review:

For old-timers in the DC area, a hint: this address once functioned as Ben’s Whole Hog Barbecue, a top barbecue destination. Fortunately, the same owners reopened the funky little place, and quite appropriately call it “Absolute” --- maybe as in this is absolutely the only place to get your barbecue fix. With country-cottage looks and casual décor, Absolute operates via a cafeteria line, but this gives patrons a chance to see all on offer: pulled pork, beef brisket, succulent ribs, and sides such as coleslaw, pork and beans and greens. Desserts include bread pudding and that Southern favorite, banana pudding. Clever diners will stock up on plenty of food for at-home eating, too, as the restaurant is not open for lunch, and is only open four nights a week.
