THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ace Barbecue Barn Restaurant Review

: In this small, bare-bones brick building, pork is smoked in huge old ovens fueled by wood. This is a workingman's place, but office staffers from nearby come for take-out as well. The ribs, rib tips and sliced pork sandwiches are the draw. Recently revisited, the restaurant didn't deliver on other dishes at the same level of quality. Don't go near the fried fish, for instance, which had to be sent back for lack of freshness. If barbecue isn't called for, try the baked chicken and dressing. Collard greens and macaroni and cheese are good, but not at the high standard they've reached in the past. Save room for a slice of sweet potato pie. No alcohol is served. Credit cards are under consideration.
