Agrodolce Restaurant Review

: Even if you fear that the suburbs don’t need one more Italian restaurant, you’d have to agree that Agrodolce is a welcome alternative to the pizza routine. Not only has the owner put both thought and creativity into the décor and design, he’s also smartened up the menu to capture the gastronomes in the crowd. Sure, you’ll find le pizze, but these pies bear such names as calabrese with Italian sausages and stewed peppers, or rocket with a garlic-crusted base topped with arugula on a white pizza. Antipasti and salads, pastas and risottos all benefit from the same touch of ingenuity. Chicken, seafood and meat entrées --- and even duck risotto at dinner --- make a compelling argument to eat here, and often. A happy hour menu features small appetizers easy to pair with your favorite wine.

Dining with Friends

We recently arrived at Agrodulce with a party of 6 on a busy Saturday night without a reservation. Instead of sending us out into the night they managed to accommodate our party and then went on to create an amazing dining experience highlighted by a tastee baked asparagus starter, a flawless duck confit served with a creamy and deliicous risoto, and finished with a chocolate macaroon torte that was the coup de gras....This was fine dining served in a warm, friendly atmosphere expertly and consistently prepared by an inspired line crew directed by a creative and superbly talented chef. What more can a diner, no matter how tainted or finicky, ask for than dining with friends??? We will continue to come back time and time again and we'll bring more friends to enjoy our little neighborhood gem....what a gift - Sharing an amazing meal with friends.......priceless!!
