Situated in a boutique hotel, this posh restaurant serves exotic local Quebec dishes that can include caribou or wild game. The contemporary ambience is imbued with soft lighting emanating from retro fixtures as you sit in plush seats while listening to soft music in the background. The service is polished and particularly attentive. A typical meal could begin with a wild mushroom starter of three soups based on black trumpet, chanterelles or cep mushrooms. Trout tartare or fresh princess scallops marinated in balsamic vinegar are also highlights. The roasted duck breast starts a tad chewy, but begins to melt in the mouth when it melds with musk mustard and a Swiss fondue. Desserts include tiramisu, chocolate goblets and berries. Wines are local and carefully selected by a house sommelier.
