Alex Long, a respected Chinese chef-about-town, is ensconced in the suburbs at this unassuming BYOB. The vast list of specialties includes Peking duck served Shanghai-style with steamed buns, and stuffed eggplant in black bean-garlic sauce. Seasonal specials might include tempura soft-shell crabs or orange-glazed chicken with lychee and apples. Fish and vegetables can be ordered steamed, with sauce on the side.
