THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Almond Bar & Restaurant Restaurant Review: This hopping Parisian-style bistro is run by childhood friends Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner. In the dining room or at the bar, Lemonides, a larger than life personality, welcomes guests, watches over every detail and makes sure each person feels happy and taken care of. In the kitchen, Weiner turns out French fare at reasonable prices. Start with garlicky escargots or subtle foie gras mousse or even mussels. Entrées include intense, slowly cooked short ribs, a good burger and, of course, serious steak frites. The flounder hails from Montauk and most of the vegetables come from local farms. A tin copper ceiling, antique mirrors and a large bar area contribute to the lively vibe.
