A former Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet is enjoying an interesting new life as one of the few Hawaiian eateries in the San Gabriel Valley. The place is simple---Formica tables, nominal artwork---but is pleasant enough and full table service is provided. Many traditional Island dishes are quite well prepared here, including succulent pork or chicken lau lau, lomi salmon, and classic kalua pork. You’ll also find Spam musabi and Portuguese sausage. Portions are typically generous and service is helpful.
