| This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. The refined interior features classic Indian artwork and luxurious serving pieces, and the menu has many specialties unavailable at more cookie-cutter Indian venues. The dishes on the reasonably priced buffet lunch are refreshed often, and the dinner menu offers light and oil-free appetizers such as chicken, fish, vegetable or cheese pakoras and Amber's Special, a mélange of potatoes and paneer, a type of fresh farmers' cheese. In addition to tandoori meats and breads, you'll find vegetarian specialties ranging from baingan bharta (tandoor-roasted eggplant) to spicy okra. |
