| Housed in the same spot that was once Aja, Amber isn’t too different from its predecessor. The pan-Asian menu, though different in appearance, is still there. So is the chic décor: large fish tanks and looming Buddha statues compete for diners’ attention along with colored lights and sleek banquettes. But status quo isn’t a bad thing. Especially when the sushi is above average (try the signature tempura roll) and small plates include an orange-soy tinged seared tuna, Chilean sea bass satay skewers, and a satisfying pork belly bun. The globetrotting wine list is mostly affordable and the cocktail list leans toward the colorful and fruity. |
