Amigos Restaurant Review:

This brightly decorated haunt on the edge of the Columbia University campus offers classic Mexican fare plus some unusual dishes cooked up by visiting chefs. Be sure to sample the guacamole paired with warm chips and then wash them down with a traditional or “hot” tamale margarita. Cheese lovers will go wild for the melted cheese appetizer, queso fundido, served with warm tortillas. Also good are the deep-fried flautas, filled with potato, topped with cheese and drizzled with tomatillo sauce. Three tacos to an order; try the Baja fish ones with slaw and salsa.
