Amy's Drive Thru Restaurant Review:

When Amy’s Drive Thru opened in July 2015, the lines well surpassed the neighboring In-N-Out Burger chain. Amy’s fast food is quickly breaking ground with a unique concept --- American classics made with non-GMO, organic, non-meat ingredients (including vegan and gluten-free options) wrapped in biodegradable containers. The interior capitalizes on natural light with large windows reaching towards cathedral ceilings and exposed beams giving a country barn feel. Sunny patios provide views of the living roof or the herb garden. The signature menu item is a double veggie patty with cheese, tomato, onion, pickle and secret sauce. Sound familiar? Yet you won’t miss the beef. Amy’s fries are cooked crispy and golden in sunflower oil. Other menu items include the red bean burrito; mac ‘n’ cheese with broccoli; or tomato and green onion salad with fresh greens, quinoa, hummus and baked tofu. Save room for a frothy milkshake, including non-dairy coconut and almond milk options. Be forewarned: Vegetarian does not necessarily equate to low-cal.
