THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Andiamo Restaurant Review:

THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Billy Basha and wife Megan Dillon partnered with chef Anthony Spinella on this eco-friendly Italian café, situated in a Silver Lake strip mall. The name means “let’s go” in Italian, but Basha crafted a dining room that invites lingering, with orange art-lined walls and plenty of natural light. When writing the menu, Spinella relied on old family recipes. Rosalia’s Peppers are sautéed in olive oil with oregano and breadcrumbs, then sprinkled with caciocavallo cheese. Another standout starter involves skewers of meatballs and mozzarella, breaded and baked, plated on a pool of zesty tomato sauce. Thin-crust pizza is available in 8-, 14- or 18-inch portions, highlighted by Signore Roberto, a pie loaded with crumbled Italian sausage, shredded capicola, prosciutto, salami, Sicilian olives and fresh herbs. The Andiamo!, a Sicilian-style deep-dish behemoth, comes buried with a blizzard of wild mushrooms, artichoke hearts, onions, anchovies, breadcrumbs and olive oil. Diners can mix and match pastas with sauces, including rigatoni with puttanesca or ravioli with vodka sauce. For dessert, go for the cannoli, airy shells piped with fluffy ricotta and flavored with orange zest.
