Andrea's Restaurant Review: Andrea’s atmosphere is joyful and family friendly, and it’s a comfortable place for an anytime dinner or a special occasion. Chef Andrea Apuzzo offers inventive fresh seafood dishes; try the speckled trout sautéed in olive oil and topped with lump crab meat. Italian-influenced fare ranges from the caprese salad to veal scaloppine, and cioppino to probably the city’s best osso buco. The long list of house-made pasta dishes covers all the standards. For dessert, consider the Italian ice creams or authentic Sicilian cannoli filled with chocolate or vanilla ricotta. The well-thought-out wine list offers respectable international selections. The charismatic Apuzzo is very much in charge of his kitchen, but makes frequent appearances in the cavernous white-tablecloth dining rooms with paneled walls adorned with classic paintings and just the right lighting. Adjacent to the restaurant, the colorful, airy Capri Blu Bar is good for after-dinner drinks (try the Electric Lemonade).
