| Tucked away on River Oaks Boulevard, Andre's is a popular lunch spot for genteel ladies and those who want a taste of the Old World. Of course, it's tempting to skip lunch when you take a peek at the gleaming bakery cases full of tarts, éclairs and artfully anointed cakes. The lunch special comes with one of the decadent pastries or you can choose from the list of salads and sandwiches. The breakfast menu offers egg cassoulets as well as flaky, buttery croissants, which we enjoy with the swell café au lait. You can expect a wait at the counter most mornings, as area businessmen and the kids from the nearby high school pick up their caffeine fix and a little glazed treat. The bakery also produces wedding and special event cakes. |
