THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Angell's Bar & Grill Restaurant Review

: Younger patrons rub shoulders with older diners in this updated restaurant with now-contemporary décor. Adding to its appeal is a distinctive sunken treasure setting that boasts a spacious patio with plenty of arboreal shade in summer months. An outdoor bar is set amid lush landscaping, creating a pleasant garden atmosphere. As Angell's surroundings venture into more modern territory, the menu continues to expand, accommodating any appetite with sensibly staid, if a tad bland, fare. Highlights include the bountiful Caesar salad, fish ‘n’ chips, and blackened prime rib sandwiches. Oddly enough for a steakhouse, the most pleasing dishes are the Cantonese chicken salad and a sweet, three-pepper red curry. For libations, there's a full bar and a decent wine list. During happy hour, the bar is full of downtown professionals easing into the evening.

Angell's is our favorite dining spot. We always have wonderful service, great food, and enjoy sampling fabulous wines from their extensive wine list. There are many new and innovative menu selections and even though we have our favorites, we look forward to the daily evening specials. It has always been a comfortable and friendly place to eat, but now it is stunning! The decor is decidedly up-town and sophisticated, but still warm and inviting. We recommend this restaurant to all our friends and hear nothing but rave reviews from everyone who dines there. We wholeheartedly agree!

Angell's Bar & Grill is one of our very favorite restaurants in Boise and for that matter, anywhere. It's beautiful! The service is friendly and professional, and the food is superb. We love the patio, especially this time of year when it is filled with beaufitul flowers and greenery. The interior is spectacular, with the colors being predominately camel, black, some red touches and textures of suede, faux crocodile, leopard and tiger print covering the walls, booths and other seating areas. We are excited to see the new face of Angell's and we can't wait to have another amazing food and wine experience soon!

We ate dinner with a group of friends at Angell's a few evenings ago and our experience was terrific. The new décor is gorgeous, with rich fabrics and beautiful furnishings and accessories. We ordered the calamari fritti as an appetizer and it was delicious - crisp and flavorful, with a wonderful lemon and artichoke aioli sauce accompanying it. The menu items we ordered were: roasted prime rib, double cut New Zealand lamb chops, Alaskan pan roasted halibut and sesame crusted ahi. Everything was perfectly prepared and the presentations were wonderful. We shared a crème brulée, chocloate "bomb" and a chocolate sundae for dessert and needless to say, we were completely satiated. We're looking forward to more super meals at this great spot! :D
